How I lost my girlfriend on UCC campus
True life Story
She was with me last night in my hostel, we cooked and ate, we conversed, we laughed together but the night drew very soon and the darkness seemed dim. I had to escort her to her hostel. We set off in the company of my roommate, we never seized to chat and laugh even at the horn of a timber truck. About 5 minutes of walking, a taxi stopped just in front of us, “aww….baby girl so you are going”…that’s all I could say but I never knew that was my last words to her. I stood still in sullen looking at the direction of the car as it set off. The shadow of the taxi vanished in seconds even in the night, I had to return to my hostel with my roommate. We arrived in about 5 minutes... “Yaw please what says the time” I asked my roommate because the barking of the dogs around my hostel was too loud and scary. Oh my God it’s almost 12:45am and I haven’t heard from Kramah my baby girl. In haste I picked up my iPhone 11 pro and started dialing her contact. It cannot be reached. I tried again, yeah this time around it’s going through but I think she sounds despondent. “Baby girl are you ok?” I asked her ….noooo I can’t believe she’s crying... Please why? What’s wrong? Are you fine? OMG she’s still quiet …tears started gripping my eyes... I called again… “Hello Kramah”…. “Nana please help me… I’ve been kidnapped... Please help me” it was then I remembered there was no girl in that taxi, there were 2 bearded men aside that muscular driver… no this cannot happen I vowed to myself... I called again but her phone was off... My roommate called about 7 times but we are not getting her... in fact my shirt began soaked with tears. I became helpless... How am I going to find her? In fact how am I going to report this? So am I not going to see Kramah again? All these thoughts pervaded my memory... in haste I picked up my shirt and set off out of my room with my roomie not even knowing where we were going. My roomie had an idea, he suggested we first go to her hostel to inform Kramah’s roomie about what has happened. We then set off, there was no car around and it was already 1:05am. I called Kramah’s number again and she picked but all I could hear were cries. Tears dripped on my shirt at the blink of my eyes, I assured her and told her to relax, am there for her and I will help her out of this incident but less I knew how I was going to help her. The call ended immediately. We began running since there was no car around. About 10 minutes of hare walking and cheetah running, I heard a beep from my phone. It was a message from Kramah. OMG… what’s happening to Kramah? Are they about to kill her? I quickly opened the message to read and it reads “please forgive me, it was a prank, I love you ”
